Ready to Start Crafting!!

I am just dying to do some crafting. I have more time now on my hands, since I'm no longer taking classes. Although, my life hasn't quite slowed down much.  Haylee is in dance and Shae is in football. Between the two of them, we are always on the go.  But, I can't stand having nothing to do.  I like my life full of craziness and my calendar full.  Ok. Back to why I'm blogging.  I have found some really neat ideas from other blogs that I love to follow.  I am so excited about all these Cool craft ideas that I just have to share them with all of YOU!!  In HOPES of my sharing with YOU, that one of you would like to join me on a Crafting Day!!  Tell me what you think!!

CUTE FRAME IDEA
This is such a cool idea for a frame.  I'm thinking, this would be the perfect Christmas present for ALL the grandparents!! Grandparents Love pictures of their Grandbabies, right?!?!
All you need is a wood block, spray paint, fabric flowers, a clothespin, and for the finial use furniture feet or a dowel rod.  You can find this craft at Shanty 2 Chic's blog!!!

PICTURE HANGER

This is another fun picture idea from Shanty 2 Chic, is this Super Cute Picture Hanger.  This could also be a great Christmas present for family or friends!!

MAGNET BOARD
Just a month ago, I had Bob take down our Big mirror that was attached to my dresser.  I have always hated that mirror.  It was huge and made my room look smaller with it.  Now, I might just have to have him go into our storage shed and dig out that mirror.  I think I can turn that Big, useless mirror into a cute Magnet Board to go behind Haylee's desk.  I found this really neat idea over at Remodelaholic
She used the ends of a crib and turned it into this below!!
I LOVE THIS IDEA, I showed Haylee & She loved it 2.

FALL CENTER PIECE

If you are in need of a new center piece for your dining room table, this is perfect for this time of year. I absolutely love this idea, its simple, cheap, and beautiful for your table.

All you will need is a glass vase, pine cones, pumpkins, some pretty flower stems, and now you have a fall center piece!!! Super easy & Super Cute. You can make this all under $10, now that is a bargain!!  I am going to have to get my butt over to Hobby Lobby to make this!!

HALLOWEEN TREAT IDEA
I love finding new fun snack ideas to do with the kiddos, especially for different holidays.  I found these adorable Halloween Eyeball Pops.  They are white chocolate covered Oreos with gummy lifesavers and a mini chocolate chip for the eye, YUMMY!!  We have tons of Popsicle sticks to use for this snack.

Hope I have inspired YOU to start Crafting!! I will share my own version of these projects after they are finished.  Anyone want to join me for a day of Crafting FUN let me know!!!
Love, Jess

Cleaning Carpets

I just have to share this home remedy with other moms out there.  We laid down new carpet about a year ago.  I will admit I am not the greatest about keeping good care of my carpet.  When we laid down our tile in the kitchen our refriderator pooped out on us.  When the guys moved in the fridge the bottom of the dolly left grease stains on the carpet.  I googled home remedies and found these 3 easy steps & it worked.
1st step:  Cover the stain with baking soda.  Let this sit for about 30 min.  Then vacuum it up.
2nd Step:  mix a solution of equal amounts of warm water and vinegar.  Apply it to the stains.
Allow it to set for a few minutes.
3rd Step:  Get a bucket and fill with warm soapy water.  With a sponge or brush use it in a circular motion on the stain.  &  the stain will disappear.  I wish I would've taken a before and after picture because this really works.

Non staining Glass project & some fun with the Kiddos

I am soo ready for some cooler weather.  Even if we can get a day that's in the 90's I'd take it right now.  My husband would say I can't be the one  to complain because he is the one that puts in the long hot days of work in this torturous heat.  So, the kiddos and I go out in the mornings to play.  Water guns have been a big hit this week.
Here are some of our creative art projects this week.
Haylee starting to create her design for her coffee filter.
We used syringes to add water to the coffee filters and make the markers bleed to make a tye-die look.
The big girls getting our tissue paper ready to glue onto the window.
Notice the little girls are just glued to the Big Girls.  They think they are pretty Cool!!
We used painters tape to put plastic wrap on the window and the kids all had glue sticks and glued tissue paper on top of the plastic wrap.
I found this project in my Family Fun magazine.
They finally FINISHED their Non-Stained Glass window!! They did a SOOPER job :)!! & they we're all very proud of their Work.
The baby taking a looksie, she was just intrigued by all the pretty colors.
I had to post this picture of "SUPER" Girl!
& of course the "Diva" Girls!! They wanted little braids in their hair today..What a Pair!

Summer Crafts

I have really enjoyed having my older kids home.  The younger kids love having them home to play with and keep them occupied.  Their favorite thing to do is play school; they have a teacher, a principal, and an art teacher.  They get really creative and make projects for the younger kids.  Here are pics from their projects this week.
One of my friends little girl had on the cutest headband.  I asked her where she got her head band from.  She told me that she bought a kit from Hobby Lobby and had her make one.  I thought it would be a great art project for the Big girls to help with the younger ones.  And it was a Hit, all of the girls Loved their new head bands.

Today, we got creative and painted with q-tips.  We like to find different things around the house to utilize to paint with.  I thought they did an Awesome job with their paintings.

I'm always looking for new art projects to do with the kids.  This is one of my favorite things to do with my kiddos.  What are some fun art projects you have done with your kids this summer?

4th of July Weekend

We had a busy weekend.  We tiled the floors, had one of my best friends daughter's birthday party, swimming, and shot of fireworks.  I'm exhausted even thinking about it all. We had a great weekend spending it with close friends. This was our kids first year we really let them shoot off the big ones, they were ecstatic about it.  I was on pins and needles the whole time.  They enjoyed every bit of it and more.

Kitchen Floor Redo

Anyone who has been into my house in the last umm 3 months, would be Shocked to see my kitchen floors.  After 3 months of looking at black concrete floors, I now have beautiful tiled floors.  Bob had his cousin come and help.  They decided, or I should say Zach decided, he didn't want to do the floors plain jane.  He thought it would be cool to make the tiles into a diamond pattern.  Needless to say, the diamond pattern turned into a long, long, long day of tiling.  Starting at 11 yesterday they finished around 12:30 last night.  They had their jams going and just trucked along getting it done.  They did a Great job, I love my floors.  Here are the before and after pictures.  We are in the process of grouting the tile, so I will have to post the finished floor.

Homemade Father's Day Gift Ideas

The kids have always made father's day gifts for their dad and grandpas.  This year we decided to give Bob and our grandpas these cute little gift ideas.
You can go onto this link and print off the cute label Pop you put the fizz in my life.
We printed of the labels and made them into cute little cards.
For the grandpas we filled up a clear plastic cup with peanuts, wrapped the cup in saran wrap, and tied it with a bow.  (Instead of saran wrap, you can buy bread bags in Walmart in the same aisle of the saran wrap.)  With this gift we made cute cards that said "We are nuts about you Grandpa!"  I got the idea from Thrifty Fun website.
Happy Father's Day to all those AWESOME Dad's out there!!!
Here's My MR. WONDERFUL, WE love you & appreciate all you do for us!! I couldn't ask for a better father for my children, YOU ROCK Bob!!
Notice his shirt says, "I'm Kind of a Big Deal!!"

Proud Mother Moment

Haylee decided last August she wanted to be in dance.  We were a little skeptical about it at first being she was starting at a later age than the other dancers.  She was bound and determined to push herself and be a dancer.  & she sure proved Mom & Dad wrong.  She did an AWESOME job at her recital.  I am so proud of her.  I was a little hesitant right before her recital, she comes to me and says "Mom I think I may puke all over the stage."  Luckily, there was no puking or fainting.
Haylee in her ballet outfit-looking like a princess.

With her dance teacher.

Had to share this picture, it was a long day for the little ballerina, she was tuckered out!!
I am so proud of my little girl, I teared up on her last performance, she looked so cute and little performing on stage in front of everyone.  That's My Girl-LOVE YA!!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

This morning I woke up to a table with cards, homemade cards, pictures, and lovely, yellow roses from my sweet kids and AWESOME husband.  We made it to church on time, with no fighting, everyone actually ate breakfast, and had a wonderful service.  We got home from church and I had a stats test to take (YUCK) so Bob took the kids to the pool, ( I know he's crazy), they stayed short of an hour because they froze their little behinds off!  But, thankfully for that quiet time I was able to study and complete my test and score and 80% YEA!! Which is AWESOME for that class (for me).  Then, Bob made my favorite meal, Chicken Flautas and he even got flour chips and CCQ from Carlos O'Kelleys.  I know I am soo LUCKY!!! I had to post a picture of all the cute cards and my pretty flowers.

Haylee made me a card that read " My Mom is speactacular than any other mom! Inside the card had a cute poem
M- Mom
O- Mom is better than others (she underlined others)
M- Makes hugs and kisses

than on a piece of paper she wrote "have a lucky day here is a lucky penny."  I thought that was soo sweet of her and I kept "My lucky penny!" & Yes Haylee I had a lucky day, because of you!!

Shae made his little tea pot card at school with a cute little poem that read:
I will try my best
in every way
To be extra sweet
on Mother's Day.
But if you become
upset with me,
please relax and
have a cup of tea!

Had to share my homemade cards I received that made my day so special! Hope everyone had a Wonderful Mother's Day and got to Relax and enjoy it with the one's they love!!

May Day Baskets

May is one of my favorite months of the year.  We made May day bouquets today.  They were very simple to make.  Had to find something simple and easy for children under the age of 4.  I printed off the templates from DLTK-kids and let the kids color them the way they wanted.  I bought the flowers from Walmart for only$1.  It took a total of 15 minutes to make.  The girls loved the flowers and thought they were pretty neat to make!!

"Becoming a mother makes you the mother of all children. From now on each wounded, abandoned, frightened child is yours. You live in the suffering mothers of every race and creed and weep with them. You long to comfort all who are desolate."
