Chalk Board Project

I found this cool project on another blogger's page TaterTots and Jello
So I got a crazy idea that I could do that in my living room (with the help of Bob.)
I think this cool vintage chalkboard is sooo Neat!!!
So I headed to my favorite store, Hobby Lobby, and bought a picture frame, a chalk board, and some spray paint.  SO, with the help of my thoughtful Husband, we got it finished.  So what do you think?!  Bob doesn't know if he likes this turquoise color but, I love it :)

If you decide you want to make a Family Message Center, you can find the information to make one on the link below!!!

Christmas Ornaments

I got a neat idea for home made Christmas ornaments from Kaboose.

We found these letters at Hobby Lobby for only $1. I love dollar finds, don't you?!

Haylee Painting her letter "H", my daughter LOVES to do crafts!!! Thats my GIRL!!
You can decorate them any way you like.  We painted them, and put glitter all over, than used ribbon to hang them.  I thought this was a quick, cute idea for ornaments.
Shae's Letter "S" painted red to resemble the Chiefs, Of Course!!
Here are a few more ideas that  I'm gonna try from Martha Stewart .

Kids say the Darnest Things

Silly Things My Kids Have Said!!
So after hearing some funny remarks my silly kids said today, I decided I should start writing some of them down, so years later I can look back and Smile!!  Wish I would've started this a long time ago, but HEY better Now than Never Right!!

We had some Good Friends pop in to Visit today !! Their oldest daughter Sienna (11) and Haylee (8) were in a deep conversation about their parents.  Sienna states to Haylee, "If there was a game show that had a game about parents being sarcastic my parents would Totally WIn!!"  Haylee starts laughing and looks over at me and smiles "Well, my mom would never win that game she NEVER exercises!!"  We laughed so hard my daughter thinks being "sarcastic" means you exercise.  Plus she had to let everyone know that I NEVER exercise, Thanks for putting that out there Haylee!!

Then my clever little boy Shae.
Bob was getting up off the floor from helping Shae build his Halo cars and says "Boy I'm getting Too old for this!"  Shae looks at his dad and says "No Dad, you are getting AWESOME!!"  Ahhh, he is my sweet baby boy :)
Shae is really into dancing right now, so I had to share his latest Break Out Dance!! Last Friday it was really cold so we put on the kids 80's music and had a Dance OUt!!!

Redecorating my Bedroom

So I'm in the works of redecorating again!! I know, its so exciting!! Even more this time than the last, because its my room, YEA!!!  My room right now consists of the brown and orange leopard print. I'm ready for a new look and not to see any animal print in my bedroom.  I found some ideas from a blogger I love over at House of Turquoise.  I'm starting to think this will be the name of my house when I'm finished.  My bathroom, hallway, Haylee's room, and soon to be my room will all consist of the color turquoise.   I want something more calmer and relaxing.  My room is the place where I spend most of my time studying.  SO I think I deserve a relaxing room!! The picture below is from the House of Turquoise, and these are the colors that I want coordinate into my bedroom.
I love the blues, greens, & I'm thinking of even throwing a little pink into my room somewhere.
I bought this comforter from target.  With these shams below to go with it.

Now I'm waiting on this fabric to come in to make my accent pillows from Hawthorne Threads.
Check them out, they have great fabric for really CHEAP!!
I love this saying I want to get this poster & have it framed along with the red vase.

I also in the process of painting and refurbishing Haylee's chair for her desk, the fabric below is also from Hawthorne Threads.

Pictures will be posted soon after the project is Finished!!!

Always Remembered

It has been a year now since I lost my close friend, Robbin, to a tragic car wreck.

I never asked once, why God brought you into my life. You always knew the right words to say, how to make me laugh, how to teach me to let go and not stress the small stuff, and You were Always there for me!!! No matter what we did together we always had the best of time! You taught me so much when you were here  and you are still teaching me!! You never cared what I looked like, what size of jeans I wore, how messy my house was, or if my kids acted up!! You still cared and loved no matter what!! You will always be remembered and never forgotten, because of your BIG heart and how you lived each day to the fullest!!  Your beautiful smile and laugh is imprinted in my mind FOREVER!! Love you always, Robbin Mae Ward!!!
Song by The Band Perry "IF I Die Young"
This song makes me think of Robbin.
"Becoming a mother makes you the mother of all children. From now on each wounded, abandoned, frightened child is yours. You live in the suffering mothers of every race and creed and weep with them. You long to comfort all who are desolate."
-- Charlotte Gray
